Allen & Overy and owner Newomij reached an understanding about a new long term lease agreement regarding the listed monument “Apollo House” located at the Apollolaan 15 in Amsterdam.
The “Apollo House” monument, established in 1936 in the South of Amsterdam, will undergo a complete renovation from 1 January 2011.
This is the initiative of Allen & Overy who leases 14,400 m² office space and 221 parking spaces in the office building.
The building plan has reference to the complete interior of the ” Apollo House”, by which a high sustainabiltiy factor is formulated. The design for the renovation is equipped with a WKO installation (Warmte Koude Opslag Installatie), ceilings with air-conditioning and daylight control. In the design is aimed for the appliance of the monumental features of the Apollo House as far as possible. In some places the original monumental aspects are restored.
The design team is accompanied by IPMMC Consult as an overall projectmanager and advisor of Allen & Overy. In this project the architectural firm Fokkema & Partners is involved as architect.
