(Re) development former auction site Bleiswijk to a modern logistics center.
The American real estate investor USAA Realco Europe B.V. has reached agreement with Royal FloraHolland on the purchase of the former flower auction grounds in Bleiswijk. The former auction location comprises 26 hectares of land of which 125,000 m² has been built on, and an adjacent development site of 11 hectares.
The former auction site is part of business park Klappolder located next to the renewed entrance- and exit roads of the A12 at the intersection with the N209. As part of the Royal FloraHolland 2020 Strategy, Royal FloraHolland transferred its activities from Bleiswijk to the flower auction in Naaldwijk over the course of 2014 and 2015.
USAA Realco will give the site a second life by redeveloping it into a modern logistics center. This redevelopment gives a positive impulse to the economic opportunities and employment in the municipality of Lansingerland and the entire region.
In this transaction, USAA Realco was legally advised by Loyens & Loeff and commercially by 3stone Real Estate. Royal FloraHolland is legally assisted by Houthoff Buruma and advised by JLL.
